endocrine
The endocrine is possibly the least known body system. It is responsible for the output of hormones throughout the body. Hormones are essentially chemical messengers that transfer a message or signal from one cell to another. Hormones originate from organs called the pancreas and adrenal glands.
endocrine diagram
Above is a diagram of the Endocrine system. All of these organs are vital to the body.
1. Thyroid Gland- Hormone Production
2. Parathyroid Glands- Hormone Production
3. Adrenal Glands- Hormone production
4. Testes- Hormone Production
5. Pituitary Gland- Hormone Production
6. Thymus- Hormone Production
7. Pancreas- Hormone production
8. Ovaries- Hormone Production
That's right, pretty much all of the endocrine organs are responsible for hormone production. This is the main job of the endocrine system.
